Let the Showers Commence

Once we worked through where the shower was going to go, and the plumbing was installed, it was time to get the shower done.

Initially we thought about using stainless steel for the walls, but the cost was huge and it was going to be a nightmare to install. So, we ended up using a commercial grade vinyl used in restaurants. CJ's uncle was working on a project and had access to get them wholesale. So, we purchased them for $40 per

4ft x 10ft sheet. We needed three to finish the project. Very cost effective and the shower is much brighter than it would have been with stainless steel.

There were also some scraps left over from CJ's uncle's project, so we were able to use the excess to line the doggy den.

VERY HAPPY at how the shower turned out and YES, there is a window in the shower. Just have to make sure we don't flash anyone while cleaning. "wink"

The walls are pine 1/2 inch and CJ put on 4 coats of the RedGard membrane to protect it from cracking and to waterproof it. Then the vinyl walls were glued directly to it.

We still have to install the pebbles in the tileable vinyl shower flooring. But, aside from that, we are a functional shower.
